Universal Studios Singapore (USS) is Southeast Asia's first and only Universal Studios theme park, located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island. Opened on 18 March 2010, it spans 25 hectares and is one of just five Universal Studios parks in the world.
The park features 24+ rides, attractions, and live shows spread across seven uniquely themed zones — from prehistoric dinosaur jungles to futuristic sci-fi cities and the beloved world of the Minions. Every zone is designed to transport you directly into the cinematic universe of the world's greatest entertainment franchises.
In February 2025, the park welcomed its newest zone: Illumination's Minion Land — a vibrant, fully immersive world dedicated to Gru, the Minions, and the lovable characters from the Despicable Me franchise.

The world's tallest pair of duelling roller coasters. Choose HUMAN (seated, high-speed with sharp turns and drops) or CYLON (inverted, legs hanging, loops and inversions). Both launch simultaneously, racing against each other through the sky. The most iconic ride at USS.
A hyper-realistic motion-based simulator that puts you in the middle of a war between Autobots and Decepticons. Featuring cutting-edge 3D visuals, heat, wind, water effects, and EVAC as your vehicle. Consistently rated one of the best theme park rides in Asia.
A river rapids ride through the lush jungles of Jurassic Park — complete with life-size animatronic dinosaurs, towering waterfalls, and a suspenseful detour into a restricted zone. Get ready to get soaked. One of the most popular attractions in the park.
A high-speed indoor roller coaster through complete darkness, pyrotechnic effects, warrior mummies, and terrifying drops. Sharp turns, sudden reversal of direction, and creepy haunted-house theming make this a must-ride for thrill lovers and one of the park's most beloved classics.
Step into Gru's secret laboratory and get "transformed" into a Minion! This immersive 3D motion simulator blends hyper-realistic animation with tilting, bouncing seats for a hilarious adventure alongside Gru, his daughters, and an army of Minions. Perfect for the whole family.
An exhilarating outdoor roller coaster atop a giant beanstalk, featuring the anti-gravity sensation of overbanked turns and heart-stopping drops. Encounter Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, and the cast of the Shrek universe on this family-friendly thrill ride.

Beyond the rides, Universal Studios Singapore stages some of Southeast Asia's most impressive live entertainment — from Broadway-style theater to adrenaline-pumping stunt shows.
A non-stop live stunt performance based on the Kevin Costner film, featuring jet skis, high dives, pyrotechnic explosions, and water effects in a purpose-built 3,000-seat amphitheater. One of the most spectacular shows in Singapore — arrive early for the best seats.
Step behind the camera and experience how Hollywood creates epic disaster sequences. Hosted by Steven Spielberg, this attraction immerses guests in a hurricane-force storm with wind, rain, lightning, and towering waves — all inside a massive movie studio set.
A Broadway-inspired theater showcasing high-energy live musical performances featuring beloved Universal characters. From Woody Woodpecker to your favourite movie icons, the Pantages delivers polished, family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.
On selected evenings, the park transforms into a luminous spectacle. Themed floats, illuminated characters, dancers, and performers weave through the park in a dazzling moving parade. Characters include those from Madagascar, Shrek, Minions, Transformers, and more.
Meet your favourite movie characters in person throughout the day. Gru & the Minions, Shrek & Fiona, Optimus Prime & Megatron, Blue the Velociraptor, Po & Master Tigress from Kung Fu Panda, and Elmo from Sesame Street — all available for photos and interaction.
USS hosts a calendar of major seasonal events throughout the year, including Halloween Horror Nights — one of Asia's most acclaimed Halloween experiences — as well as festive Christmas celebrations, New Year's Eve events, and special character appearances.

Opening Hours
The park generally opens daily at 10:00 am. Last admission is typically 1 hour before closing. Holiday periods may feature extended hours. Always check the official USS website or app for the current day's schedule as hours vary.
Best Time to Visit
Arrive at opening time to tackle the most popular rides first — Battlestar Galactica, Transformers, and Revenge of the Mummy. Weekday visits are significantly less crowded than weekends. School holiday periods see peak attendance.

The official Universal Studios Singapore app shows live wait times for all attractions, daily show schedules, character meet & greet locations, and park maps. Download it before your visit to plan your route efficiently and avoid unnecessary queuing.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes as you'll walk 5–10 km throughout the day. Bring a change of clothes for water rides — Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure and WaterWorld will get you soaked. Loose items must be stored in lockers before boarding rides.
Weather & Sunscreen
Singapore is hot and humid year-round with temperatures between 28–35°C. Apply sunscreen before entering and reapply throughout the day. Many queues are outdoors. A light rain jacket or poncho is recommended as afternoon showers are common.
Dining in the Park
With 30+ restaurants and food carts across all zones, USS has options for every taste and budget — from Sci-Fi City Diner to Oasis Spice Café and KT's Grill. Outside food is generally not permitted. The park is cashless, so carry a contactless card or digital wallet.
Photo Opportunities
Professional photographers are stationed at key ride exits for on-ride photos. Bring your own camera or phone for zone photography. Best shots: Far Far Away Castle, the globe fountain at the entrance, Hollywood Boulevard, and Minion Land. Arrive before 11am for crowd-free photos.
Accessibility
Universal Studios Singapore offers wheelchair access throughout the park, with ramps and accessible routes at all zones. Companion care services are available. Ride access cards are provided for guests with disabilities. Wheelchairs and mobility devices are available to rent near the main entrance.
How to Reach
Sentosa Island
- By MRT
Take the Circle Line or North-East Line to HarbourFront Station. From there, board the Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity Level 3 (Lobby L). Alight at Waterfront Station, then walk to the Resorts World Sentosa main entrance. - By Foot (Boardwalk)
From HarbourFront, walk across the scenic Sentosa Boardwalk — a 700m elevated walkway with shops and views of the Southern Islands. Free of charge and takes approximately 15 minutes. - By Bus
Board bus 123 or RWS8 from HarbourFront Bus Interchange. The bus will take you directly to the Resorts World Sentosa arrival area, right next to the USS main entrance gates. - By Car or Taxi
Enter Sentosa via Sentosa Gateway or Beach Road. Ample car parking is available at Resorts World Sentosa's multi-storey car parks. Grab and taxi drop-off zones are located at the main entrance. - Opening Hours
